Industrial garment decorators can now meet high volume digital production demands responsively and flexibly with the new RICOH Pro D1600 Direct to Film system.
RICOH Pro D1600 is a market first for the delivery of high volume digital garment decoration capabilities.
The innovative line is the first to support high volume digital garment production. Incorporating a powder shaker and drying unit, it has been designed to help screen printers and large and medium sized textile printing specialists as they transition from analogue to digital production capabilities.
Highly responsive to different run lengths and built on state of the art solutions developed in Europe, the Pro D1600 can run at speeds in excess of 20 sqm per hour. High quality production is fully supported with optimised film sourced from Europe.
The Pro D1600’s specially designed inkjet printhead configuration of three Ricoh printheads supports films up to 1600mm and its newly developed DTF optimised Ricoh Pro™ DTF Ink ensures high speed jetting and high white opacity.
Ricoh is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard Accreditation programme (GOTS) – a voluntary accreditation programme that requires all raw materials to be certified organic to a recognised international or national standard. It covers processing practices, inputs and requirements for environmental management, social responsibility and safety as well.
Axel Stuhlreiter, Head of Textile Solutions, Graphic Communications Group, Ricoh Europe, says: “This latest addition to our portfolio opens up the production of high volume designs that can be printed and shipped for local, on demand application onto garments. Ideally suited to screen printers and industrial garment decorators looking to make their transition to digital or enhance their digital capabilities, the Pro D1600 is responsive and sustainably responsible. It maximises productivity with its inline powder shaker that helps eliminate a traditional bottleneck and media is delivered in jumbo rolls for fewer change overs. We are excited to see how this high volume system will help industrial operations transform their production power.”
The RICOH Pro D1600 will be launched in Europe at FESPA Global Print Expo 2024, RAI Amsterdam from March 19 to 22, and is available immediately.
Industrial garment specialists can also put the system through its paces, and explore Ricoh’s other innovative DTG and Direct To Film technologies, at Ricoh’s Textile Competence Centerin Frankfurt.
